Privacy Policy

The Short Version.

We collect what we need to service your equipment and get in touch about the job — nothing more. We don't sell your data. We don't rent it. We don't share it with anyone trying to sell you something. If you want us to stop texting you, reply STOP. If you have any questions, call us at (888) 929-2283. The rest of this page covers the details.

Effective Date: April 22, 2026  |  Last Updated: April 22, 2026

1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy describes how BATE Mechanical ("BATE Mechanical," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit our website, request a quote, schedule service, or otherwise interact with us. By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect information we actually need to serve you. That includes:

  • Contact information: name, phone number, email address, and service address when you submit a form, call us, or request service.
  • Service details: information about the equipment, system, or issue you're asking us to address, including details you share during scheduling or on-site visits.
  • Payment information: billing address and payment details when you pay for services. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers — card processing is handled by our payment provider.
  • Website usage: basic technical information like IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited. This is standard web server logging and is used to keep the site running and secure.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide estimates.
  • Schedule, dispatch, and perform the services you request.
  • Send appointment reminders, dispatch notifications, and service updates.
  • Invoice and collect payment for completed work.
  • Send occasional offers, promotions, or service notices (only if you've opted in).
  • Keep records for warranty, regulatory, and tax purposes.
  • Improve our services, website, and internal operations.
  • Comply with applicable laws and protect our legal rights.

4. How We Share Information

We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: with vendors who help us run our business — for example, our dispatch and scheduling software, payment processor, SMS provider, email host, and website host. These vendors are only allowed to use the information to do their job for us.
  • Subcontractors: with licensed subcontractors directly involved in performing your service, when needed to complete the work.
  • Legal requirements: when required by law, subpoena, court order, or lawful request from a government or law enforcement agency.
  • Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, customer records may transfer to the successor entity, subject to this Privacy Policy.
  • With your consent: any other sharing will only happen with your explicit permission.

5. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or share your opt-in data and phone numbers with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.

Your phone number and SMS consent stay with BATE Mechanical and the messaging providers we use to deliver texts. They are never shared with or sold to third parties for their own marketing.

6. Messaging Terms & Conditions (SMS)

The following terms apply specifically to text messages (SMS/MMS) sent by BATE Mechanical.

  • Program name: BATE Mechanical SMS Program.
  • Types of messages you may receive:
    • Informational messages — appointment reminders, dispatch notifications ("technician is on the way"), scheduling confirmations, service updates, follow-ups, and account notifications.
    • Marketing messages — offers, promotions, maintenance-plan reminders, and seasonal service notices.
  • Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on your service activity and account status.
  • Message and data rates: Message & data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details about your plan.
  • Opt-out: You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. After you reply STOP, you will receive a one-time confirmation and no further messages, except transactional messages directly tied to an active service you've already requested.
  • Help: Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or call us at (888) 929-2283.
  • Carriers: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported U.S. carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and most other major U.S. wireless carriers.
  • Consent: Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from BATE Mechanical. You may still receive service from us without opting in to SMS.
  • Data sharing: We do not sell, rent, or share your opt-in data or phone number with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. Our website is served over HTTPS, payment processing is handled by PCI-compliant providers, and access to customer records is limited to employees and contractors who need it to do their job. That said, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure — we can't guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as it's needed to provide services, comply with our legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Service and invoice records are generally retained for at least seven years for tax and warranty purposes. Marketing opt-in records are retained until you opt out, and then we keep a minimal record that you opted out so we can honor that choice going forward.

9. Your Rights & Choices

  • Opt out of texts: Reply STOP to any text message from BATE Mechanical.
  • Opt out of marketing emails: Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or contact us and we'll take you off the list.
  • Request your information: Contact us and we'll provide a copy of the personal information we have on file for you.
  • Correct your information: If any information we have on file is wrong, let us know and we'll update it.
  • Delete your information: You can request that we delete your personal information, subject to our legal and tax-record retention obligations.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information at the bottom of this page.

10. Cookies & Website Analytics

Our website uses a minimal number of cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working and to understand basic traffic patterns. We do not use third-party advertising cookies and we do not sell website analytics data. You can control cookies through your browser settings — disabling cookies may affect how some parts of the site function.

11. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for commercial customers and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will make a reasonable effort to notify you directly (for example, by email or text if you're on our list). Continued use of our services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
